Buying vintage or thrifted clothing and home goods is a great sustainable practice because these items already exist, meaning that there isn’t any new energy consumption or environmental impact like there is when purchasing something new.

In fact, by buying or repurposing existing pieces, you can reduce items that end up in landfills. From a fashion and personal style aesthetic, it’s also a way to maintain your individuality. Most fast fashion pieces are only worn up to seven times before they are donated or thrown out. If you can wear a garment 30 times or more, not only does it become cheaper over time than a fast fashion piece you might wear twice, but you’re making a positive environmental impact. Scroll through to discover our Los Angeles Vintage and Thrifting Go-to list.
