At Nathalia JMag we are on a mission to help our customers wear their values without compromising their style! Nathalia JMag is a Colombian-American contemporary fashion designer who believes in sustainable and ethical approaches to fashion. We upcycle destined for landfill garments to give them a new life. We use sustainable textiles such as deadstock fabrics, organic cotton, bamboo, hemp, and linen. We also use natural dyes such as turmeric and cochineal. Waste management is very important to us so everything we do is either made to order or in very small limited batches. We do this so we do
FAIR TRADE ﹣ What makes your brand Fair Trade and how do you ensure the Fair Trade production?
My brand is fair-trade because every piece is made to order by Me; Nathalia JMag. Most of the textiles I use are either deadstock textiles, destined for landfill garments that I upcycle or sustainable textiles such as bamboo, hemp, linen and organic cotton.
SOCIAL JUSTICE ﹣ How do you ensure Social Justice with your internal and external corporate environment.?
Social justice is important to me because I am a WOC therefore when I hire staff I make it a point to hire other WOC or women in general.
ORGANIC ﹣ Please list all ORGANIC materials you work with. What makes this material sustainable and better than conventional material?
We use organic cotton when possible, organic cotton doesn't contain chemicals and its better for the farmers.
UPCYCLED ﹣ Please list all RECYCLED materials you work with. What makes this material sustainable and better than conventional material?
We use destined for landfill garments to create new ones. This is how we create most of our denim pieces; using jeans sourced from local thrift shops. This is also how we create our two piece blazer sets, we use destined for landfill blazers that are either donated to us or sourced from thrift or secondhand shops.
ECO/TECH ﹣ Please list all ECO/TECH materials you work with. What makes this material sustainable and better than conventional material?
we use bamboo textiles; bamboo is superior because the plant needs very little attention and water to grow and the same goes for hemp textiles.
LOCAL ﹣ Where and why is your entire product collection produced locally?
Everything sold on NathaliaJMag.com is created by me in my home studio.
HANDCRAFTED ﹣ How does the exact handcrafting process works?

Everything we sell is also Made to order therefore we don't hold any stock. We also have some pieces that are 100% zero waste, we make it a point to not produce any waste with the items we upcycle and also with some of our cut and sew designs.
