Let´s stop a cold in fall and winter! The fall has arrived in most of our cities and the bad news is that a cold wave breaks out as every year. The good news: You can avoid a cold. You can boost your immune system which helps you a lot to fight a cold early. Here are our 5 essential tips:
1. Keep Yourself Warm
Don´t underestimate the autumn cold. Keep yourself warm with clothes, warm food, love and some other tricks. If you get cold, the virus has the chance to spread. A warm jacket or coat is key. Don´t forget the essentials like a hat, a scarf, gloves and warm socks. Drink hot tea and eat hot vegetable soups. Treat yourself with hot footbaths in the morning, it wakens you up.
2. Hot & Cold Shower
A hot and cold shower pushes your blood circulation makes your immunity stronger and keeps you fit. The best would be to start your day with a changing hot and cold shower in the morning. Try not to do it in the evening, because otherwise, you could have an uneasy sleep.
3. Drink & Vitamin C
Vitamin C is one of the most important antioxidants we need. That means the antioxidant vitamin fights with bacteria until they’re dead. Antioxidants can help to combat free radicals, allowing your immunity to be better equipped to fight invading bacteria and microbes. Good antioxidants are lemon and oranges. These fruits contain a huge amount of vitamin c. Add fresh organic lemon and ginger to your tea and water. If you like to drink a juice, try this vitamin booster and a cold will have no chance: Mix organic carrot, orange, sallow thorn juice and freshly grounded ginger and complete this amazing booster with a lemon! Basically, it is very important that you drink a lot (2,5 – 3 liters a day) water because liquid moistens your mucous membranes.
4. Inhale Fresh Air & Be Active
Hot air dries out your mucous membranes, which makes it more unimmunized for a virus. Open the windows regularly. Go for a walk outdoor and breeze fresh air. Try not to heat so strong with the heater. Better keep yourself warm with some of our tips above under point 1.
5. Sleep and Relaxation
Enough sleep is super important as it is the relaxing phase for your brain and body. Stress steals the body a lot energy and makes your immune system weak. Sleep and relaxation gives you new energy and power to avoid a cold. 7 hours sleep is a minimum. Try to pull down your work and stress pensum as possible. Additionally do some relaxing workout techniques like yoga and meditation.
