Brigitta is an independent label based in London, creating contemporary, conceptual jewellery influenced by culture, nature and storytelling. London-based Brigitta Anderson launched the brand in 2017 through a love and passion for jewellery, design, art, culture and hands-on making. Coming from a long line of artists, designers and craftsmen, Brigitta’s heritage of creativity, concept and artistry is innately woven into the work she creates. These qualities driving her to make contemporary jewellery that is not only aesthetically beautiful, but has meaning and a narrative behind it.
The process of designing, creating and making is a focal point to the brand, so each piece you wear is made by hands with love, time and care. The pieces of jewellery you buy are created by us and for parts of the process we can't do ourselves, we work very closely with talented, professional craftspeople based in London. Each of these people are an integral part of the process and are recognised and supported as just that.
Making sure that difference and diversity is a part of how we move in the world and industry is extremely important to me (Brigitta). This is a factor that comes into every collaboration, collection and project and I only want to emphasis and ensure this more and more.
We recycle our silver and gold where at all possible to ensure as little waste as we can. All our materials are ethically sourced within the UK.
All the pieces we create are made in London. For processes that can’t be done in-house, Brigitta works with local independent businesses based in London. We choose local independent businesses to insure quality control, as well as keeping the process as eco-friendly and ethically friendly as possible.
Each piece of jewellery is made to order, we don't work to seasons, but put emphasis on slow fashion and conscious making, to promote conscious buying. All our packaging is recycled and we also recycle our silver and gold where possible to ensure as little waste as we can. We work with local businesses within the UK, ensuring that our materials and products don't need to be sent overseas.
